Dr. DeVincenzo, formerly Dr. Pirolo, is a Long Island native from Commack, NY. She has always loved animals and knew she wanted to work in the veterinary field from an early age. She started working at a veterinary hospital and volunteering as a socializer at her local shelters while she was in high school. She attended the University of Vermont and received a BS in Animal Science in 2009. While completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. DeVincenzo began working in emergency veterinary medicine. She enjoyed the fast pace of working in emergency medicine and the wealth of knowledge she obtained from her experience. Each of her professional and volunteer experiences propelled her to apply to veterinary school. Dr. DeVincenzo attended Ross University of Veterinary Medicine in St. Kitts and completed a clinical rotation at Oklahoma State University in 2015. After graduating, she worked at VCA Hauppauge Animal Hospital for several years before joining West Hills Animal Hospital in 2020. Her professional interests include pain management, allergies, behavior, and hospice care. Dr. DeVincenzo’s resides in Bellport, NY with her husband and two rescue German Shephard mixes Homer and Gavin. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, concerts, and riding her Vespa.
