Education: Delaware Valley College University
Dr. Mary Beth Polek, DVM, CVA, was born and raised in Philadelphia while growing up with a deep passion for animals. Her journey began at Archbishop Kennedy High School and W.B. Saul Agricultural High School. In adulthood, she pursued her undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley College University (formally known as the Delaware Valley College of Science and Agriculture), where she managed the college’s Standardbred breeding farm and was a dedicated member of the equestrian team.
With a strong desire to become a veterinarian, she completed her education at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine and the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. In 2011-2012, she specialized in small animal acupuncture at the Chi Institute in Florida.
Dr. Polek later settled in Long Island, New York, where she excelled in various aspects of small animal medicine, including shelter medicine, private practice, emergency care, and service and guide dog care. Alongside her husband, Ethan, they reside in Huntington, New York, with their two adopted black labs, Venice and Palmer.
